My Story

I’ve spent most of my life building, leading, solving problems, and figuring out how to make things work better.

For more than 30 years, I built my career in corporate leadership, operations, procurement, and team development, including leadership roles with organizations such as Whole Foods Market, Amazon, H-E-B, and Central Market.

I’ve led large, complex operations and teams of hundreds of people, managed competing priorities, developed leaders, navigated change, and learned what happens when strategy meets the realities of actually getting the work done.

Eventually, I took that experience somewhere much more personal: into businesses of my own.

From corporate leadership to entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship gave me an entirely different education.

When it’s your business, there isn’t always another department to call. You’re making decisions about strategy, people, money, customers, systems, marketing, growth, compliance, and whatever unexpected problem showed up that morning.

I’ve built businesses, helped restructure them, launched new ideas, worked through expansion and transition, developed teams and training programs, created systems from scratch, and experienced firsthand how quickly an exciting idea can become overwhelming when the structure behind it doesn’t keep pace.

That experience changed the way I think about business.

The answer isn’t always another strategy. Sometimes you need knowledge. Sometimes you need structure. Sometimes you need another experienced person at the table. And sometimes you simply need someone who knows how to roll up their sleeves and help get the work done.

That understanding became the foundation for Good Karma Alchemy.

Why Good Karma Alchemy exists

I created GKA to bring together the parts of my experience that had traditionally lived in separate places.

Strategy and execution.

People and systems.

Creativity and business.

Learning and doing.

Good Karma Alchemy gives entrepreneurs, creatives, and small business owners access to that combination through three areas of work:

  • Consulting Services provide strategic guidance, problem-solving, business development, operational insight, and an experienced perspective when there are decisions to make.

  • Learning Resources turn knowledge into something people can use through journals, workbooks, guides, eBooks, courses, workshops, and other practical resources for personal and professional development.

  • Execution Services provide hands-on support when the work itself needs to get done, including administrative and document services, project-based operational support, implementation, and services offered through GK Signature Services.

Different needs require different kinds of support. GKA was intentionally built with room for all three.

Education that supports the experience

I’ve always been interested in understanding not only what people and organizations do, but why they do it.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, which gave me a deeper understanding of people, organizations, culture, group behavior, and the social systems that shape how we work and interact.

I’m continuing that education through my MBA at Louisiana State University Shreveport, pursuing dual concentrations in Entrepreneurship & Family Enterprise and Project Management.

That combination reflects the way I naturally approach business: understand the people, understand the business, understand the system — then determine what needs to happen next.

I’m a builder, too.

I’m not standing outside entrepreneurship looking in.

Alongside Good Karma Alchemy, I’m actively involved in building and operating businesses across creative services, retail, professional services, and product development. I know what it feels like to make decisions with real money attached to them, manage employees and contractors, deal with customers, build processes while the business is already moving, pursue new opportunities, change direction, and occasionally realize that something you were certain would work needs to be reconsidered.

I’m also a creative.

Music, art, tattoo culture, making things, and supporting other creative people have been part of my life for years. That matters to the work I do because creative entrepreneurs often face a particular challenge: turning something deeply personal into something financially and operationally sustainable without losing what made it meaningful in the first place.

I understand both sides of that conversation.

What I bring to the table

I bring experience, curiosity, structure, and a willingness to ask the questions that actually need to be answered.

I’ll look at the whole picture — the idea, the numbers, the customer, the people, the process, and the reality of what it will take to execute.

Then we work from there.

There is no universal formula for building a meaningful business or creating a life that works for you. There are better questions, better decisions, stronger systems, useful knowledge, and deliberate action.

That’s the work I care about.

Less noise. More alignment. Real execution.
